A man wearing a black hoodie has gone on a hammer rampage through New Romney High Street.
The man, armed with a large hammer, went along the High Street smashing the windows of local businesses.
Drive Motor Spares and a funeral directors were both targeted, with damage said to be up to £40,000.
Nothing was stolen from the premises, with business owners calling it an ‘act of pure vandalism’. The shops have managed to remain open despite the damage.
No arrests have been made with police appealing for any information to help them find the person behind the attacks.
