Chatham Drug Dealer Given Two Year Prison Term

A renown Chatham drug dealer has been jailed following work by neighbourhood officers in Medway.

Alan Maxwell was sentenced to two years and five months at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 1st September 2025.

The 32 year old, formerly of Ordnance Street, Chatham, had previously admitted possession of class A and class B drugs with intent to supply. Community policing officers carried out a warrant at Maxwell’s home in July 2021 and found cocaine, cannabis and drug dealing paraphernalia.

Analysis of his phone also uncovered messages arranging drug deals.

Inspector Paul Diddams, of the Medway Community Safety Unit, said ‘We will take robust action against those involved in illegal activity in Medway. In this case, officers identified someone involved in the supply of class A drugs, carried out a warrant at his home and have now brought him to justice.’
