Police detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Chatham on Saturday.
Kent Police were called at 10.12am on 1st November 2025, following reports of an assault in a private property in Castle Road.
Officers attended the scene alongside other emergency services. A man in his 40s was located inside the property with injuries consistent with stab wounds. He died whilst being treated by paramedics at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
A 45-year old woman from Chatham has been arrested in connection with the incident, and remains in custody. An investigation is underway with cordons in place in Castle Road.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact them. Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcam are also asked to check for relevant footage.
