Kent Police have obtained a closure order for a house in Gravesend connected to antisocial behaviour and drug use.
Officers have been repeatedly called to the property on York Road in recent months due to the conduct of the occupiers and visitors. Local people reported multiple incidents including threatening behaviour, frequent disorder, excessive noise and damage.
In response, officers went to Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 24th September 2025 and applied for a closure order for the premises.
This was granted for three months and on the same day officers attended the property with council officials, and it was secured. Any unauthorised person entering the property can be arrested.
PC Jo Hammond said ‘We are committed to doing everything we can to tackle antisocial behaviour and will not hesitate to take similar action when persistent crime from one household blights the quality of life for everyone else.’
