17-year-old boy stabbed at Aarschot station after an argument

Aarschot (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Aarschot stabbing leaves 1 injured; 2 arrested, including a 15-year-old boy and 19-year-old girlfriend. Gwendolyn Rutten condemns violence and urges police reporting to keep the community safe.

As VRT News reported, a fight between young people at Aarschot train station, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium, ended in a stabbing on Friday, Oct 24, 2025. They mentioned that the argument quickly turned violent, leaving one young man injured. Police and emergency services arrived at the scene.

What led to the Aarschot stabbing, and who was involved

A 15-year-old boy from Antwerp and his 19-year-old girlfriend from Aarschot are arrested and being questioned by investigators. Gwendolyn Rutten condemned the attack on social media. She warned that violent behaviour has consequences and said offenders will be arrested and punished. 

“Violence destroys lives. This must stop,”

Rutten wrote. 

In August 2025, a 15-year-old boy in Aarschot was attacked by 4 masked men on a city street. The attackers beat him, threatened him with a knife and a firearm, and then fled in a car with 2 others. Police launched an investigation into the violent incident. Earlier, in May 2023, a 22-year-old man named Saad B. died in Zaventem during a fight between youth gangs near the train station.
